It's official: I am on the job market! Watch out world (i.e., please hire me)! I am geographically flexible across North America and open to a variety of long-term positions. I have a PhD in Social Psychology with an emphasis on Cultural Psychology, and I am committed to advancing Diversity Sciences in all things related to multiculturalism at individual, relational, organizational and societal levels!

August 2021

Just received my first Personality and Social Psychology Bulletin invited resubmission for Amy Muise and my work on intercultural romantic couples and the special opportunities they have for personal growth through each other's cultures. I am so proud to put this positive, strength-focused research out there to celebrate the beauty that results from cultural mixing!

Thank you to CTV news for including me on this panel discussing the continued biases against intercultural and interracial couples in today's North America. It was a great talking about this important topic with my esteemed colleagues, Dr. Maya Yampolsky and Dr. Allison Skinner-Dorkenoo.

Thrilled to share my research on White North Americans' harsh reactions to bicultural individuals who frame switch, or adapt themselves to their multiple cultural groups. Thank you for my first national audience, CTV news!


My alma mater, York University, shares an article about my latest work on the unique social challenges and biases bicultural people face in North America. Proud to rep YorkU and bring attention to research on biculturals' experiences.

Hot on the heels of my PhD defense, the last of my dissertation work is now published in Social Psychological and Personality Sciences! In a series of experiment, I show that when biculturals frame switch, or adapt themselves to their cultures, White Americans and Canadians see them as less authentic. This leads to such biculturals also being seen as less likable and trustworthy, and can even diminish their intercultural dating prospects. The Cost of Being 'True to Yourself' for Mixed Selves...
